ROMA

Hey guys!! How was your weekend?
Mine was very relaxed, I needed to build up my strength after a beautiful week spent with my USA roomie Kate!
We spent 4 months together in Washington DC in September 2011 at ISH, I was there for an internship.... and of course for fun after my graduation!!;)
And now after almost 2 years, we were together again for her first trip to Italy.
We spent 3 days in Rome and 3 days in Sicily and I was not such a bad tour guide! I was proud of it!!
Feel free to ask me anything you like or if you are interested in something else
Here is a some mix of Rome...
Pantheon, (my favourite!) walking through the little narrow street from Via del Corso to Piazza Navona, when suddenly you find, in this little square (Piazza della Rotonda), a huge monument that stands in front of you as monumental castle of one of your favourite fairy tales!
Mont Blanc! An expolsion of flavour you will find only in Rome, this is from Romoli a Bar Pasticceria of 1952,  near my house
Form the intierior of the Colosseum, mysterious and evocative picture
The famous Artichoke "alla Giudia", is a ancient recepie born in XVI sec. in a beautiful neighborhood in Rome, called Ghetto Ebraico
Castel Sant'Angelo (it wasn't a sunny day, but in these picture the light was awsome!)
Bartolucci, a beautiful Italian wood toys shop, Via dei Pastini, with Geppetto who works hard to repair  Pinocchio!!!;)
Me and Kate, behind us Ponte degli Angeli over the Tevere
Villa D'Este, an amaizing place in Tivoli (1h from Rome), a masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance decorated with any kind of fountains
View from the Cupola di San Pietro, (you can admire the 12 apostoles on the top of  San Pietro, Piazza San Pietro and Via della Conciliazione)
Old appartment near Via dei Coronoari, a beautiful street full of old antiques shops
San Pietro, during first Angelus of Papa Francesco (the square was full of people from all over the world)

Ciao ragazzi! come avete passato il WE?
